mochi anyone?

hello deers! image
last weekend i went to little tokyo! i'd been wanting to go for quite a while; it's such fun!

imagethough i've been meaning to write about it for a while, i haven't gotten a chance. at last, here it is~

our first stop was lunch, since we were famished when we arrived. we went to the yummiest ramen restaurant i've visited in a while! it was delicious

after lunch we headed to a shop specialized in mochi and gelato. we left full of creamy mochi goodness.  image

flavors (top to bottom): mango, creme brulee, black sesame, coffee, green tea
still craving sweets, we popped in a cute bakery with copious amounts of cakes and goodies! i picked out sugar bread (which i had for breakfast the following morning), a cinnamon bun, and a jalapeño bagel for my dad.

then i got a cake from a japanese grocery store... mmm

once we were full as can be, we stopped in some kawaii shops! i found adorable stationary
and pens ^_^

that was such a fun day. i love little tokyo! soon they are opening a cat cafe there as well, i believe, and i couldn't be happier. sweet dreams (or good morning, depending on where you live)

love you lots,
eliza

♪♫♪♫oh~and a B flat~♪♫♪♫

hello again deers!     Kawaii small graphics

as i am writing this, my friend (the one who crochets well and uses her chopsticks in the best way) is playing away on the piano. since both of us play, we decided to pull out one of my ancient (it's from the 50's!) books of sheet music. though the songs are a bit difficult, they're such fun to play!

she just started to play "Wedding of Love", which gives me chills. it's such a beautiful song, i could listen to her play it all day. i tried to upload a video of her playing...but it won't work. she's very talented though~she makes the song come to life.

my friend (let's call her bea) is definitely a mori girl; she has so many of the characteristics! she's the one who introduced me to Celtic Woman, which i'd definitely consider a mori girl music group.

that's all for today,
eliza (and bea)

lace amongst the leaves

hello, my forest friends \ (`^w^`) /
i hope that you are all doing well~
yesterday my friend came over and we had a little mori kei photoshoot!
Kawaii small graphics
it was incredibly fun; she's such a lovely friend! though she isn't a mori girl, she agreed to let me dress her up in mori kei and take some photos. she also brought me an adorable beige cardigan. it has eyelet lace trim and the color is beautiful. she knows me so well.

Kawaii small graphicshere are a couple of photos from our shoot, which took place at the prettiest time of day. it was evening, and the sky had turned gray-blue. the breeze had picked up, ruffling our dresses and our hair...it was perfect.

my adorable friend (✿◠‿◠)
it was such fun`` i hope that she had fun too~

when the rain falls

Hello deers,

I just wanted to say a quick hello since I haven't posted in a bit. I'm just going to write my thoughts and feelings today, so I hope you don't mind. (*◡‿◡*)

I miss rain. Where I live there is a severe drought, making for a hot and dry climate that I can't stand. I need rain! I need cold! (⇀‸↼‶) Please make this fall and winter be an actual fall and winter!
Kawaii small graphics Lately I've been very busy, but I've been trying to make time for little things like tea drinking, reading, drawing, and knitting. Oh, and writing. I absolutely love writing. Activities like those are so relaxing and peaceful, and since I'm a bit of an introvert, ^w^, they're perfect because I can do them during much needed alone time.

Joe Hisaishi music is beautiful! I've been listening to it constantly, and since he wrote one of the pieces in My Neighbor Totoro (which I adore), I naturally love him.

Speaking of My Neighbor Totoro, I recently purchased some adorable Totoro items. A t-shirt, pin, and key chain to be exact! They are too cute! ♡‿♡

Whoa I've been jumping from topic to topic! Sorry about that...I guess I just have a lot on my mind.

Ooh! Another topic, haha! (-‿‿-) I had wondered where my DS had run off to, after having abandoned and forgotten about it for years. After much searching, I finally found it. I had been itching to play Animal Crossing, and at last I could quench my thirst for paying off loans from Tom Nook and planting flowers around my tiny cottage! So, that is definitely NOT what I've been doing the past week...(>_<) hehe...

Anyways, I can't seem to think of anything else right now. I'm going to go back to Animal Crossing surfing the web reading, but I'll talk to you soon. ^_^

Much love, little deers,

Eliza

thrift shop finds, yummy things, and a day of yarn

Hello deers! I hope you've all had a wonderful summer. I certainly have, and I'm terribly sad that it's come to a close. Today I'd like to share a few fun things that I've done in the past couple weeks. Please enjoy =*^-^*=

I have a love of thrift shopping, and luckily the thrift stores near me often have mori kei clothing hidden amongst numerous other pieces. I've found too many outfits to show online, but here are a few of my favorite finds.

white open back top
brown a-line top
gauze-y, lace-y, mismatch-y cardigan
I'm sorry about the quality of the photos; my camera is actually quite good but the lighting in my room just wouldn't cooperate. I'll figure something out eventually. (>_<)

Next up are a couple of delicious meals. Well, one of them is a meal- the other I ordered at a bubble tea and boba bar!

mmmm, ramen! i love how my friend uses her chopsticks (≧◡≦)

the yummiest marshmallows

peach slushy =♡-♡=

And lastly, a day that consisted of knitting and crochet. While listening to Celtic Woman, of course. If you haven't heard their music, look them up right now. I highly recommend it. ^‿^♡

my friend taught me how to crochet! thank you again (⌒‿⌒)
my interesting creation (right) next to my friend's perfect one
my friend's knitting
my knitting (something i'm not too bad at) (=^・ω・^=)

These kind of things are so fun, I just love them! They're up there with going to little bookshops, bike riding at the beach, and walks in the forest.

Until next time!

photos from my week

Hello :)
Today I'd like to share with you some pictures from my week that I randomly took. Each one has something mori-ish (is that a word?) about it. Enjoy!

Shopping at Target, found adorable things! :)

Three things I love- fruit, tea, and fairytales.

Knitting a present for someone...;)

A little deer I found in Wyoming- I love him!

I just love this! (credit: http://instagram.com/p/rnTtnykkvv/)

Underneath a tree, the blue sky peeking through...

I hope you enjoyed seeing some photos from my week!
Goodbye deers,
Eliza
